cloud creates an undulating overhead canopy of soft luminous forms. Taking inspiration from the wondrous mobile constructions of Alexander Calder, a mobile of clouds moves with gentle buoyancy in the air currents of a space. The mobile structure allows for a broad canopy of cloud forms, hung from a single point, to provide illumination and a sense of intimate enclosure…like sitting under a tree.
Construct vast cloudscapes to give sculptural shape to a space by grouping cloud mobiles to flow in a unique topography. The hollow honeycomb structures of cloud are internally lit by LED, making the three-dimensional forms mysteriously radiant when viewed from any direction.
Three sizes of mobile structures are available as well as individual pendants that can be suspended in four sizes.
cloud is available in “daylight white” or “warm white”. The “daylight white” is a very neutral white, not too blue as some “daylight white” lights can be. The “warm white” has a subtle golden warmth to the shade of white. (daylight white: 4800 K, warm white: 3300 K colour temperature) cloud is dimmable and when dimmed down, creates a stormy atmosphere, when at full brightness cloud provides a gentle quality of light that is suitable to work, read, eat and live with when the number of pieces is scaled to the size of room or area to be illuminated. The honeycomb structure of cloud also provides acoustic absorption, helping to cut down the reflected sounds in a space (acoustic documents available on request.)
